Experienced Veterinary Technician

Veterinary technicians should be comfortable in all aspects of veterinary patient care, from basic restraint to anesthesia and surgery.
Preferred candidates will have experience in general medicine, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and patient handling.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals - Perform various laboratory tests, such as blood work and cytology - Administer medications and vaccines to animals as directed by the veterinarian - Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures when needed - Take and develop X-rays of animals - Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments - Assist veterinarians in appointments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred - Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license is a plus - Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred - Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Proficiency in performing laboratory tests and using medical equipment - Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment - Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners Note:
